The Department of Management and Marketing at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in Supply Chain Management, beginning in August 2021.

 

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and conduct high-quality research in the areas of logistics and supply chain management, and engage in institutional, community, and professional service.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·         Ability to develop, execute, and maintain an independent, high-quality research agenda.

·         Ability to teach both online and in-class supply chain management courses, and other closely related areas including business analytics, decision science, operations management, etc.

Required Qualifications

·         By the time of appointment, candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Decision Sciences, or a closely related field.

·         Candidates must demonstrate the ability to conduct high-quality scholarly research.

·         Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching and have a strong commitment to serving the university, college, department and the professional community.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, consideration may be given to candidates with: 

·         Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited Business School.

·         Strong research record as demonstrated through publications in top academic journals and show evidence of an ongoing research program/agenda.

·         Effective online and in-class teaching experience in Supply Chain Management at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

·         Professional/business experience in Supply Chain Management.
