The School of Education is excited to invite candidates who will serve as an Instructional Coach/Professional Development Facilitator with the Office of Strategic Engagement.
The Instructional Coach/Professional Development Facilitator, grounded in math, science, social studies and or English content, will work directly with classroom teachers to enhance instructional practices and student learning.
The Instructional Coach/Professional Development Facilitator will possess a toolbox of best practices to:
Strategically communicate and build relationships that promote trust and respect,
Collaboratively work with teachers and teams in pursuit of student-focused conversations and instructional needs,
Thoughtfully guide and analyze data-driven instruction to surface student need and next step decisions,
The Instructional Coach/Professional Development Facilitator will possess understanding and application of Blackboard, Canvas, along with teaching and learning in a virtual environment.

Required Qualifications

-Degree in Education or related field required
-Teaching Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience followed by instructional coaching and professional development that supports, knowledge, skills and abilities of colleagues,
Direct experience working with underrepresented or underserved populations and meeting needs in high-need or urban schools,
Demonstrate knowledge of adult learning,
Experience with online and traditional instructional design and curriculum development,
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment.

Preferred Qualifications

-Advanced degree in education.
-Preference will be given to those with professional experience working with urban populations.
