The Division of Science, Mathematics, and Technology at Governors State University invites applications for a full time, tenure-track faculty appointment in Mathematics at the assistant professor level beginning in August 2021.
We seek candidates with outstanding teaching skills, a professional educator license, experience with secondary education programs and accreditation, evidence of a potential for or a distinguished record of scholarship, as well as community service via projects, committee and/or leadership roles.
Duties of the successful applicant will include teaching and oversight of the secondary mathematics education program, including student teacher oversight and responsibility for accreditation documents; teaching courses in the BS and MA programs in mathematics; and research in mathematics education.

1. Ph.D. or Ed.D. in mathematics education or a related field
2. Hold a professional teaching license.
1. M.S., M.A. or equivalent in mathematics from an accredited institution
2. United States public school secondary teaching experience with licensure in mathematics
3. Experience with edTPA assessment and CAEP accreditation
