Position Summary:

Coordinates and executes the development and implementation of the administrative activities of the Department of Political Science graduate degree program. The range of administrative services in one-on-one and organized group settings including recruitment, admissions, new graduate student orientation, graduate program advising, placement, and oversight of academic progress towards degree. This position works closely with the Department Administrator, Associate Chair and Undergraduate Team. This position requires independent work habits and good public relations skills, as well as great attention to detail.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- Prior work experience in an academic setting required, 3 years preferred.
- Must be able to work well independently as well as on a team.
- The successful candidate will be detailed oriented and possess excellent interpersonal, problem- solving and organizational skills.
- Experience with academic programs, and/graduate advising required.
- Graduate admissions experience preferred.
