Job Description Summary
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall 2021 at the rank of Assistant Professor in Experimental Physical Chemistry.
A successful candidate is expected to establish an extramurally funded, internationally recognized research program in experimental physical chemistry. All areas and subspecialties of experimental physical chemistry will be considered.
Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a description of research interests, a statement of teaching philosophy and experience, contact information of three professional references and a description of how their past and/or planned contributions to teaching, research, and/or service will serve to advance the mission of the College of Sciences and Mathematics in creating an inclusive environment. Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline at the time appointment begins, and at minimum one year of postdoctoral experience. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.In addition, candidates should be eligible to work in the United States at the time appointment begins and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
Desired Qualifications
Desired qualifications include a strong record of publication, teaching and mentoring experience, and demonstrated (or potential) ability to acquire extramural funding.
