Position Title

Residence Life Coordinator

Job Description

The Residence Life Coordinator ( RLC ) hires, trains and supervises Resident Assistants, and hourly hall staff; oversees occupancy, key tracking and hall equipment for designated buildings; provides on-call emergency assistance; and develops and oversees educational programs for residence hall students; serves as a student conduct officer; and assists with recruitment/enrollment events. The RLC is expected to live in campus housing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
•Selects, trains, and supervises residence hall staff and manages front desk operations.
•Provides counseling and conflict mediation.
•Oversees room assignments, room changes, room inventories and key control, including assignment, tracking and duplication of keys.
•Participates in rotation of 24-hour on-call emergency assistance and serves as a hearing officer for student discipline cases.
•Assists with summer housing, enrollment sessions, and recruitment events.
•Develops and oversees educational programs for residence hall students and the campus.
•Collateral programmatic focus for respective buildings:
oScanlon RLC – First Year Experience (develop partnerships and collaborate with the office of New Student Initiatives, Welcome Week, Admissions, CSI, etc)
oVartabedian, Juda, Beshears RLC – Second and Third Year Experience (develop partnership with Career Development, Alumni Advisor Board, etc)
oVaselakos and Leaverton RLC – Equity and Inclusion (develop partnerships with CME, Global Center/International Student Services, Veterans and Military Services, etc)
•Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree and college student personnel ( CSP ).

Physical Demands

Medium work; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move
