Job Description

Missouri Western State University is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach.

Missouri Western is an NCAA Division II institution, which successfully competes in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association ( MIAA ) in 16 sports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The responsibilities for this full-time position include, but are not limited to, assisting the head coach with all phases of a competitive Division II women’s volleyball program in accordance with Missouri Western, MIAA and NCAA rules, regulations and policies, as well as a commitment to student-athlete
personal and academic welfare. Duties include assisting the head coach in recruiting quality student-athletes, on-court coaching, practice planning, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes and other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; at least two years’ coaching and/or playing experience

Preferred Qualifications

NCAA Division I or II level experience; working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Physical Demands

Positions in this classification typically require: kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing.

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Incumbents may be subjected to extreme temperatures.

Required travel with consistent work requirements on nights and weekends.
