Postdoctoral Associate in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics (65273)
The Department of Physics at the University of Florida seeks to fill a Dirac Postdoctoral Associate position in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics with a starting date in the Fall of 2021. The position is sponsored by The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) and designed for recent Ph.D.'s with research interests in any of the Condensed Matter areas represented at the three NHMFL sites (Gainesville, Los Alamos, and Tallahassee). The Dirac Post-Doctoral Fellow will conduct theoretical research and modeling on forefront developments in Condensed Matter Physics, including but not limited to topological matter, unconventional superconductors, and transport in strongly correlated electron systems. Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate high aptitude for theoretical research as well as to establish close connection with the ongoing experimental program.
The successful candidate will be located at the University of Florida in Gainesville. The position is for two years (to be renewed annually), subject to performance and continued funding. The appointment includes a competitive salary and benefits, and discretionary funds to cover research and/or travel expenses.
PhD in Physics or related field
