The University of Houston College of Pharmacy invites qualified applicants to apply for a full-time, research-track faculty position at the rank of research assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Translational Research. We are seeking outstanding individuals with a solid track interest in scholarship and expertise in the field of translational and clinical research. The successful candidate will be involved in increasing scholarship productivity within the Department, increasing the national recognition of the College, and building a clinical research enterprise focused on oncology practice.

The Department of Pharmacy Practice and Translational Research is made up of 33 full-time faculty members. The vision of the department is to be a leader in pharmacy and postgraduate education through excellence in translational, clinical and outcomes research. The department has a strong group of faculty that conduct high-level translational and clinical research. This will be a key position to expand our research infrastructure and increase our research visibility around the nation.

The position is fully funded by the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are looking for talented personnel who will strengthen and provide synergy with our current areas of oncology expertise. In addition to oncology scholarship, the applicant will teach in the didactic and skills portion of the curriculum related to oncology and expected to take P4 students on clinical rotations related to oncology research. Applicants will be expected to develop a nationally recognized reputation in their chosen area of expertise through teaching, service, and scholarship.

Qualifications :

The candidates should possess a PharmD degree and clinical practice experience within oncology. Prior experience directing pharmacy students on clinical projects or pharmacy student leadership development would also be an asset. Applicants must be eligible for Texas Pharmacist Licensure.
