Teaching Faculty – Department of Sport Management

 

DEPARTMENT

Candidates are being sought for a specialized teaching faculty member position in the Department of Sport Management, a unit in the College of Education at Florida State University. The department has four core content areas: Legal and Policy Issues, Management, Marketing, and Media and Cultural Studies. Applicants should have teaching expertise that will contribute to and support one or more of the department’s content areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidates should be available to begin work in August 2021. The individual hired will be required to advise undergraduate students, complete administrative tasks associated with the undergraduate degree program, teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, and contribute to department and university growth through appropriate service activities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications for the position include: earned doctorate degree in Sport Management or related field; college/university teaching experience; experience mentoring, or evidence of ability to mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students.

 

OTHER

The position is a twelve-month, non-tenure earning appointment including summer employment. The anticipated start date for the position is August 1, 2021. Salary will be commensurate with an individual’s experience.
