The Section of Hospital Medicine at Temple Health is seeking team-oriented Hospitalists at all experience levels to join its established program.

As a hospitalist at Temple Health, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and consultative and co-management services inpatient coverage at Temple University Hospital (TUH), a 746 bed tertiary and quaternary level acute care facility and the nearby Episcopal Campus of Temple, a smaller 21 bed unit. This position requires 12 hour shifts on both teaching and non-teaching service. Time spent between teaching and non-teaching service is flexible based on clinical/academic interest. Temple’s Hospitalist program includes mentorship for new faculty to set them up for success while on teaching service.

The Section of Hospital Medicine is now in its fifth year of providing quality and efficient clinical care to its patients and educational opportunities to Temple’s medical students and residents. The section continues to be on the forefront of utilization and patient safety initiatives.

The successful candidate will be an MD, DO or foreign equivalent and complete Internal Medicine residency training from an ACGME accredited program prior to their start date. Candidates should have a strong interest in providing superior patient care, and medical student/resident education. Candidates with an interest in scholarly activity are also encouraged to apply. The selected candidate must also be able to obtain in unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to beginning employment. Rank and compensation are commensurate with experience.
