The University of North Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Elementary Education. Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education from an accredited university (ABD will be considered). A closely-related in field in education (i.e. Curriculum and Instruction, etc.) will be considered if the candidate possesses a minimum of 30 graduate hours in elementary or early childhood education. The candidate should be eligible to possess teaching credentials in Elementary Education and/or Early Childhood Education. In addition, the candidate should possess recent P-6 experience, excellent verbal and writing skills; ability to teach undergraduate and graduate classes in Elementary Education; ability to advise students; and ability to work with students as well as P-6 schools and administrators. Additional duties shall include: performance of university and community service initiatives; active and involved leadership role in college and university committees; and involvement with research activities.  This appointment is expected to begin in the Fall of 2021, with a possibility of beginning as early as Spring 2021, depending upon the successful candidate's availability.

Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education from an accredited university (ABD will be considered). Desired qualifications include: Teaching experience at the college/university level preferred and experience or interest in directing student research.
