Job Description:

Director of Student Success Initiative (Title V grant funded): Pathways to Success through Culturally Responsive Programming.

The Director is a new full-time position reporting to the Project Director (Associate Provost of Chelsea) The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operational elements of the Title V-Developing Hispanic Serving Institutions grant. In this role, the Director plans, organizes, manages and assesses the Activity, assisting with the administration of the project budget, programmatic adjustments, staffing and coordination.

This position coordinates all project staff and consultants who are contracted for pathways, enhanced instructional strategies and related professional development; and chairs the Task Force. The Director serves as a bridge connecting the various project components to enable smooth flow of communication, continuity of effort, and accomplishment of Activity objectives grounded in an equity-based student-centered philosophy.

Responsibilites and duties include:

  • Oversee all design teams, pilots, and implementation activities as described in the grant proposal and according to the defined timelines.
  • Collaborate on the hiring and supervision of new project-related personnel, in concert with appropriate offices.
  • Collaborate in the selection and implementation of Customer Relations Management tool, advising software and other applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in student service areas to institute processes for efficient workflow, optimal student support, and tracking and communication throughout the student pathway.
  • Ensure integration of student service processes with supporting technology tools.
  • Interface with IT and appropriate business analysts to ensure integration of technology enhancements for each initiative.
  • Oversee change management and quality control to ensure timely delivery and functionality of service and systems modifications.
  • Collaborate on the design and management of the Pathways website.
  • Foster college-wide participation in the development and implementation of grant activities.
  • Ensure timely accomplishment of grant activity objectives.
  • Prepare monthly Title V reports to the Project Coordinator and the Task Force.
  • Chair the Title V Task Force and, convene and document monthly meetings.
  • Participate in annual Title V evaluation and development of annual performance reports.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in higher education administration, or other areas relevant to the responsibilities of the position;
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in higher education administrative practices and structures;
  • Experience with integration of student services with administrative and technology systems;
  • Experience in organizational change management;
  • Experience in budget management;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in grants management.
  • Bi-lingual; English/Spanish preferred;
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross functional teams;
  • Supervisory experience;
  • Project management certification and/or experience.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 (grant-funded)
