Quincy University (QU) seeks a strategic, professional, and collaborative leader as its Vice President for University Advancement. Located in Quincy, Illinois, QU is a liberal arts institution of higher learning in the Franciscan, Catholic tradition. Rooted in the vision and mission of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi, QU's heritage calls for the promotion of justice and peace, as well as stewardship for all creation. The Mission calls on each student to become a leader who makes his or her own distinctive contribution to the world through service.

The Vice President for University Advancement is QU's chief development and fundraising officer. Reporting directly to the President and serving as a member of the President's Cabinet, the vice president will partner with President Brian McGee in ensuring that QU and its students are Succeeding by Design. By engaging all of QU's constituencies, developing a strategic direction for the advancement division, and preparing for and executing a comprehensive campaign, the vice president will play a crucial role in advancing QU to its next level of excellence in development, fundraising and alumni relations through data-driven best practices, policies and procedures.

Quincy University has achieved significant fundraising success in recent years, and there is a good base on which to build. In February 2019, the University celebrated the successful conclusion of the Forever Forward Comprehensive Campaign which exceeded its goal, raising more than $25 million for endowment and modernizing learning environments and facilities throughout campus. The annual fund raised over $1.2 million in 2019-20, its best year since 2008-09.

QU values its relationship with, and takes great pride in, Quincy, as a city, a community, and an economically vital regional hub. With a population of 41,000, the city of Quincy has numerous advantages: a broad variety of employers and industries, history, art, and outdoor recreational opportunities. Traditionally, 47% of QU graduates who come from outside of the Quincy area choose to remain in the Quincy area after graduation. The University's annual economic impact on the city and the region is approximately $53 million.
