The Department of English at the University of Evansville invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor. The department seeks an active scholar specializing in Medieval or Early Modern literature. Teaching duties will also include the Seventeenth and Eighteen Centuries and the Romantic era. The position carries a load of 6-7 courses per academic year, including a responsibility to UE’s writing-intensive general education program. This candidate must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching. The position begins 1 August 2018 and the successful candidate will either hold a Ph.D. or be scheduled to defend.
