Position Summary:

This position provides budget and policy analysis for the Department of Medicine's complex budgets containing a variety of funding sources and a large number of programs. The incumbent will develop short and long term budgetary projections, annual operating budgets, and program cost analyses.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum 2 years progressive accounting experience with budget planning and preparation, business and financial management, automated financial systems, and financial report analysis and preparation is required.

Experience in various financial settings (i.e., public accounting, corporate or business finance) would be beneficial.

Experience in an academic medical environment where several legal entities, programmatic and budgetary processes co-exist and interact is preferred.

License or Certificate:

CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.

Additional Information:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written is required.
