Job Summary

The JCCC Metal Fabrication Department is seeking an experienced welding educator to teach entry level courses in Oxyacetylene brazing, cutting, and welding; Plasma Arc Cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Blueprint Reading, Metallurgy, and other welding classes.

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree with 5 years welding experience
• Knowledge of safety in the metal fabrication industry
• Ability to teach entry-level welding skills using lecture, demonstration and lab activities
• Communicate with other instructors
• Knowledge of the following:
-Oxyacetylene cutting, braze welding, and welding
-Plasma Arc cutting and gouging
-Shielded Metal Arc Welding (plate, pipe) 5G, 6G
-Gas Metal Arc Welding (plate, pipe) 5G, 6G
-Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (plate, pipe) 5G, 6G

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years welding experience
• AWS CWI/CWE certifications
