Job Summary

This position is an internal opportunity for current Auburn University employees, excluding TES and student workers

Supervises and coordinates activities of student workers in the Student Financial Services call center, as well as other full time employees, as assigned.

Essential Functions

1. Supervises student workers, as well as other full time employees.
2. Assists in advising parents and students regarding financial aid and billing questions.
3. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.
4. Identifies, resolves problems and inconsistencies, and determines appropriate corrective action.
5. Monitors schedules of student workers and full time staff to ensure proper coverage of call center.
6. Interviews and hires student workers as needed to keep call center appropriately staffed.
7. May perform human resources related duties to include payroll.
8. Regularly monitors student workers’ hours to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
9. Assists the director, assistant director and manager of Financial Aid as needed.
10. Maintains data security to include, but not limited to, any information that is part of students’ university records and the sensitive financial data of students and their families that is required to administer federal financial aid, pay charges via e-bill and issue refunds as needed.
