Job Description:

The STEM Program Manager will continue to advance the work of the Berkshire County STEM Network. The Manager will be responsible for coordinating the STEM Networks connecting activities related to Berkshire County STEM Week, as well as maintaining the networks website and social media presence. The Program Manager will also be responsible for the creation and posting of STEM related professional development modules that can be added as a resource for K-12 school teachers/students, supporting the Berkshire Compact's aspirations work and establishing STEM information sessions. This is a grant funded, part-time position, working 15 hours per week through the end of FY21 (June 30, 2021)..

DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the follow-up and data reporting for STEM Week 2020
  • Oversee and maintain STEM Network website, social media outreach, and online calendar
  • Manage the Regional Science Resource Center (catalog and maintain inventory of supplies)
  • Coordinate, with STEM Network support, at least two professional development modules that can be added to the PD database accessed by local K-12 educators
  • Assist the DCE in any preparation work for the state STEM SUMMIT in the spring semester
  • Coordinate and lead a working group of educators and professionals in developing and establishing an overall plan for STEM WEEK 2021 and begin to implement activities
  • Plan two STEM-based information events during the academic year
  • Be a resource for the planning and implementation of the Berkshire Compact Eighth Grade Career Experience in the spring semester
  • Assist with other STEM programming as needed



Requirements:
  • Master's degree recommended, Bachelor's degree required
  • Administrative experience including program planning and implementation
  • Demonstrated organization and collaborative skills
  • Adept in a variety of technology and social media skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
