We are seeking someone with academic background and teaching experience in Children's Literature. Background and experience in Composition/Rheteric is also important.

Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.



  • A Master's degree in English with at least 18 graduate hours in Literature is required. A Master's degree in another discipline or subfield is acceptable with at least 18 graduate hours in Literature.
  • Graduate level classes and/or experience teaching Children's Literature is preferred.
  • College-level teaching experience in composition and proficiency in designing instruction to engage students is desirable.

Availability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching is preferred. Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online is required.
