Summary:
Utah Valley University is seeking an Assistant Registrar for Transfer Credit and Articulation.

The Assistant Registrar manages the Transfer Credit Department within the Registrar's Office and maintains articulations with other institutions. Duties include:
-Direct, supervise, and train team members in all aspects of the transfer credit evaluation process.
-Collaborate with Department Chairs and Deans as well as other university representatives to set up new articulation agreements and transfer plans.
-Utilize the Banner system and other software to enter and evaluate transfer student transcripts and maintain, update, and ensure the relevancy of articulation/transfer web page information.
-Coordinate with other Transfer credit offices in Utah and participate on the Utah Transfer Articulation Committee.
-Conducting occasional training and workshops for faculty and staff in relation to articulation and transfer processes.
-Other duties may be assigned by the Associate Registrar and University Registrar.

The Assistant Registrar for Transfer Credit is an experienced leader and critical member of our team leadership. They report to the Associate Registrar and represent the Registrar's Office on University committees, task forces, and in meetings.

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership, project management, and team-building experience, excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency with Banner or other student information systems, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and research problems and challenges regarding transfer articulation.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and two years professional experience in a related discipline or a combination of education and experience totaling seven years.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Creative thinker who is willing to engage in continuous process improvement.
-Proven track record of increased responsibilities.
-Proven experience in successfully managing teams and individuals, assessing employee performance, and mentoring direct reports.
-Proven project management experience.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
-Excellent written communication skills.
-Excellent oral communication skills.
-Experience working with complex data and data systems.
-Experience learning and using a proprietary system or database, such as Banner, People Soft, SalesForce, etc.


Preferred Qualifications:
-Knowledge of university transfer and articulation processes.
-General knowledge of university-level course numbering and course structure.
-Experience using Banner by Ellucian (as an employee).
-Experience with transfer credit and course articulation.
-Experience using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Planner.
-Experience with a reporting software such as Tableau, Argos, Crystal Reports, etc.


Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform normal office duties. Consistently sitting as with an office environment. Use of fine-hand manipulation associated with the use of a computer.
