The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine and Department of Global Health at the University of Washington, School of Medicine are recruiting a full-time (100% FTE) Director (0041) of the new Cardiovascular Global Health Unit.  The successful applicant will have an active research program, a strong publication record, and mentoring experience appropriate to rank.  Administrative experience and track record of cross-departmental partnerships to take advantage of the outstanding opportunities for collaboration at the University of Washington is desired.

Annual service period of 12 months (July 1 – June 30).  Anticipated start date is February 1, 2021.

 

Applicants must have an MD (or foreign equivalent) with a clinical and / or research focus in cardiovascular diseases and global health.  In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The successful applicant must qualify for appointment to the full-time faculty at the University of Washington at the Associate or Full Professor (without tenure due to funding) level commensurate with qualifications.  University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
