Assistant Professor of American History
The University of Jamestown seeks a broadly trained American historian who is a dedicated teacher and mentor to undergraduate students at a small, private university on the northern plains to begin in August 2021. A Ph.D. is required; candidates with ABD status and near completion will be considered. The successful candidate will be able to teach a two-course U.S. History survey sequence, historiography, specialized courses in U.S. history, and a course in North Dakota History. Candidates with expertise in African American, Latinx, or Native American history and/or the ability to teach a course in another geographic area, especially Africa, Latin America, or Asia, are especially encouraged to apply.
