Summary

Under the direction of the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research Director Chris Amos, this position will coordinate the day to day activities of research protocols which include screening, enrollment, and monitoring of research participants. In addition, this position will ensure accurate data collection, documentation, organization and safety of research participants.

Job Duties

*Interviews, screens and recruits patients for the study; explains process and procedures to educate participant regarding this COIVD related research study.
*Collects patient information; processes documents and enters information into the patient database.
*Collects samples including performing phlebotomy for adults recruited at various sites including assisted living and nursing homes.
*Administers and collects informed consent from elderly patients and works with care givers to obtain consent from patients who have restricted capabilities.
*Helps to develop and implement protocols for collecting samples from patients including blood and midturbinate swabs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified in phlebotomy
  • Speaks a second language, preferably Spanish, Vietnamese or Chinese.
