Salary Basis: 12 month

Responsibilities:
The Scheduling and Events Specialist performs a wide range of tasks including, but not limited to, the following: serving as the President's Scheduler (including scheduling and managing new and recurring meetings, gathering and organizing briefing materials, maintaining the President's Calendar, responding to meeting and speaking requests, and assisting in arranging travel for the President); planning, executing, and overseeing events sponsored by the President's Office—ranging from small gatherings to large receptions and lectures, which may feature high profile speakers and scholars; working with various on- and off-campus offices to request appropriate services for all aspects of events; and, other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 3-5 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in higher education; and, occasional after-hours and weekend availability

Highly detail oriented; excellent oral and written communications skills; good interpersonal and organizational skills; experience in planning and executing all aspects of high-level events and meetings; ability to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines; good problem-solving and analytical skills; knowledge of office and event protocols; ability to adapt to change easily and frequently; ability to work well as a team member, as well as to work independently; ability to understand and follow directions and complex policies and procedures; ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality; and, experience with Microsoft Office products.


Salary:
12 monthCommensurate with experience and qualifications
