Specialist - Aircraft Records

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief of Maintenance, the Aircraft Records Specialist will perform the duties and responsibilities as listed below in support of the company's Part 145 Air Agency Certificate. They will be expected to possess the experience and knowledge listed in the Minimum Qualification section below to ensure that in the execution of their duties the documentation of maintenance and alterations performed by company personnel and vendors on company aircraft are performed in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. They will be responsible for the upkeep and accuracy of all the records, manuals, and data for the repair station. The records specialist will assist with internal and external audits on documents, checklists, and historical records required by the repair station and FAA.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with an associate’s degree in a
closely related field plus one year of experience related to the Summary of Duties; OR,
any combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties
totaling three years.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Knowledge of FAA Regulations
Experience in maintaining aircraft maintenance records.

Promotes an organized professional, positive atmosphere throughout the department.
Skilled with record-keeping and filing techniques.
Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail and a great level of accuracy in
work.

Ability to research and audit using multiple computer systems or applications.
Ability to work independently, as well as with team members; self-motivated.
Ability to handle multiple duties/priorities on a daily basis.
Ability to function effectively under deadlines and still maintain accuracy.
Ability to keep up in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to be analytical and problem-solve with a high level of awareness;

Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to perform some manual work related to job duties.
