The University of South Florida, USF Health, is searching for a dynamic collegial leader to serve as Assistant Dean of the Undergraduate Program at the University of South Florida College of Nursing. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a nurse leader to continue the positive trajectory of the College of Nursing as an internationally renowned center of nursing excellence.

 

The Assistant Dean of the Undergraduate Program reports directly to the Vice Dean of Undergraduate & Global Programs.  The major responsibilities of the position include the overall coordination and management of undergraduate education on all campuses as well as other collegiate functions as determined by the Vice Dean or designee.  In addition, the expectation for the incumbent is continued involvement in teaching, scholarly activities and service based upon their faculty rank.

 

The Assistant Dean of the Undergraduate Program will provide academic leadership for the achievement of academic excellence; collaborate with the Vice Dean to provide administrative leadership for Undergraduate majors on all three campuses; and represent the academic administration of the College of Nursing.

 

Founded in 1973, the College of Nursing is one of four colleges in USF Health at the University of South Florida, and offers baccalaureate, master's, CRNA, DNP, and PhD programs. The College of Nursing is comprised of 67 full- and part­-time faculty and 74 affiliate faculty and has over 700 clinical affiliates including 10 major hospitals within a 10-county service area in West Central Florida. The College of Nursing enrolls 2,155 students and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education for the BSN, MSN, and DNP degree programs.

 

In addition, the master's and nurse anesthesia major in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
