Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking qualified candidates for an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team as Director of the NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine’s Adult General Residency Training Program in Psychiatry. The NYP/Weill Cornell Medicine psychiatry residency training program is one of the largest, most prestigious, and intellectually broad private university-based clinical psychiatry training programs in the United States with 48 residents who rotate across clinical services in Manhattan and Westchester County, New York.

Position Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for: engaging in direct teaching and training; evaluating and supervising residents; mentoring; developing, monitoring, and evaluating didactic courses and rotation schedules; recruiting scheduling, and evaluating supervisors; engaging in ongoing program development; chairing internal committees including Residency Selection Committee, Residency Education Committee, Clinical Competency Committee.   The position also entails overseeing annual resident recruitment process; overseeing and organizing program accreditation processes; and participating in departmental, institutional, and national committees. The position will have some clinical responsibilities per ACGME requirements, which will be tailored to the candidate’s professional interests and expertise.

Minimum Requirements: Board certified in Psychiatry and demonstrated accomplishments as an educator with leadership experience.  Must possess or be eligible for a license in the state of New York.
