Position Summary:

Non-tenure faculty members’ primary responsibility is to deliver instruction and maintain a learning environment consistent with the highest standards of the field. The faculty has a responsibility to set degree requirements, assess when they are met, and establish and maintain curricula that meet professional standards and fulfill the educational goals of the University and of the Health Studies program.

Duties & Responsibilities:


    Teach fifteen hours each semester (Fall and Spring) in the Health Studies curriculum Assist in developing, evaluating, and modifying the curriculum in Health Studies Assist in developing, evaluating, and modifying programmatic policies and procedures Aid the program director in the collection and analysis of data related to student achievement and program outcomes for the Office of Assessment Participate in the recruitment of Health Studies students Participate in the selection of course textbooks Aid in the selection and admission of applicants to the Health Studies program Actively participate in regular faculty meetings Accurately maintain advising records on assigned advisees Communicate professional concerns and interests to Program Director Other duties as assigned



Skilled in Microsoft Office

Ability to work collegially with others and communicate both verbally and in writing

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Master's Degree in a clinical/healthcare-related field

Hold appropriate Certification/License in a clinical/healthcare-related field

Five (5) years of professional/clinical experience in healthcare
Three (3) years of teaching experience at the collegiate level

Doctorate preferred
