Job Description or Duties

Duties for this position will include developing and teaching online graduate courses (including Human Genetics or Essential Human Anatomy and Human Physiological Systems), creating a successful independent research program involving undergraduate students, and performing service to the department, university, and profession. The university is committed to undergraduate teaching and research, community engagement, and meaningful faculty-student interactions. Teaching health science related class primarily online and provide mentoring and advising; Creating a successful, independent research program that includes students; providing service to support UNK, the Biology department, and the profession.

 

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a PhD in Genetics or Anatomy/Physiology or closely related disciplines. The candidate should demonstrate evidence of excellent teaching, as well as a strong interest in online teaching, commitment to research (evidence of two recent publication in peer reviewed journals within the last 3 years), and effective communication and collaborative skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:             

 Post-doctoral experience; experience mentoring undergraduate student research; skill in online instruction; evidence of grant writing. Teaching experience related to physiology, anatomy, or genetics.
