Merrimack College is a selective, private college in a beautiful, residential setting — just minutes from Boston, Massachusetts.

Position Overview: The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College is seeking applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturer in Finance for multiple undergraduate and graduate level courses for Spring 2021 and future semesters. All applicants will be teaching in dual modality - teaching some students face to face and some simultaneously online via Zoom. Unless specified, all applicants must be available to teach in person. The Spring 2021 semester runs February 1st, 2021 until May 12th, 2020.

Undergraduate Courses:

  • BUS2215 Managerial Finance

  • FIN4436 Income Tax and Estate Planning

Graduate Courses:

  • FIN5050 Finance Concepts

  • FIN5410 Corporate Finance and Valuation

  • FIN5430 Quant and Factor Investing

  • GMGT5150 Financial Measurement

Qualifications: Master’s degree in business or related area, Ph.D. preferred. College teaching experience preferred, although related work experience may be considered.

Undergraduate courses are taught Monday/Wednesday/Friday between 8:00 AM - 3:15 PM in one hour and 15-minute meeting increments; Tuesday/Thursday between 8:00AM and 6:00PM in one hour and 50-minute meeting increments; Monday/Wednesday between 3:30PM and 5:20PM. We offer occasional evening classes starting at 6:00 PM for one hour and 50 minutes twice a week. Online 4 credit graduate courses are offered in 8-week sessions. Courses are a combination of synchronous and asynchronous teaching. Synchronous live sessions are held in the evening once a week.
