Position Overview: The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College is seeking applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturers in Accounting for multiple undergraduate and graduate level courses for Spring 2021 and future semesters. All applicants will be teaching in dual modality - teaching some students face to face and some simultaneously online via Zoom. Unless specified, all applicants must be available to teach in person. The Spring 2021 semester runs February 1st, 2021 until May 12th, 2020.

Undergraduate Courses:

  • BUS2203 Accounting for Business

  • ACC4406 Advanced Accounting

  • ACC4408 Auditing



Graduate courses:

  • ACC5370 Cybersecurity

  • ACC5560 International Tax Inbound

  • ACC5570 International Tax Outbound



Qualifications: Master’s degree in business or related area, Ph.D. preferred. College teaching experience preferred, although related work experience may be considered.

In your cover letter please specify which course(s) you are applying for and your availability (days and times). Undergraduate courses are taught Monday/Wednesday/Friday between 8:00 AM - 3:15 PM in one hour and 15-minute meeting increments; Tuesday/Thursday between 8:00AM and 6:00PM in one hour and 50-minute meeting increments; Monday/Wednesday between 3:30PM and 5:20PM. We offer occasional evening classes starting at 6:00 PM for one hour and 50 minutes twice a week. Online 4 credit graduate courses are offered in 8-week sessions. Courses are a combination of synchronous and asynchronous teaching. Synchronous live sessions are held in the evening once a week.
