Overview
Employment Status: Full time, non-exempt, temporary with the possibility to become permanent.

Work Schedule: Generally, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Salary Range: Anticipated salary range from $3,470 to $4,164 per month.

CSU San Bernardino seeks a dynamic, creative, and collegial professional to provide skillful and inventive work in graphic design, web design, and video editing and motion graphics as part of the Department of Academic Technologies & Innovation (ATI). The incumbent will report to the ATI Assistant Director and will work as a key member of a team of talented instructional technologists and designers who provide instructional design services to faculty and professional communication to the campus. CSU San Bernardino seeks a dynamic, creative, and collegial professional to provide skillful and inventive work in graphic design, web design, and video editing and motion graphics as part of the Department of Academic Technologies & Innovation (ATI). The incumbent will report to the ATI Assistant Director and will work as a key member of a team of talented instructional technologists and designers who provide instructional design services to faculty and professional communication to the campus.

Typical Activities
The incumbent will be responsible for the following job duties:
  • Work with instructional designers on graphic elements for faculty's LMS course sites, such as banners, and for third-party integrations as needed.
  • Assist in the development of PowerPoint templates for ATI webinars and produce tutorial videos.
  • Assist in the creation of technical resources and provide troubleshooting support for faculty.
  • Create flyers and other informational and promotional material for print and email for ATI and ITS.
  • Assist in the conceiving in collaboration with ATI leadership, and then implement, the themes, structure, and design of the ATI website
  • Assist with the maintenance of the ATI website with current information and changes as needed.
  • Assist in the development of content for social media, deploy that content, and maintain social media sites in collaboration with ATI staff and other community members.
  • Assist in performing editing, effects, video animation, and graphics for faculty videos and other ATI projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • The equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Portfolio of creative work in graphic design, web design, and/or video editing and motion graphics.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in graphic design, web design, video editing, and motion graphics, or related field.
  • Portfolio of creative work in graphic design, web design, and/or video editing and motion graphics.
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge, skills, and creative achievement in these three areas: graphic design, web design, and video editing, and motion graphics.
  • At least six months' experience in professional digital graphic design, web design, or video editing and motion graphics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and advanced skills and creative achievement in graphic design, web design, and/or video editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn additional creative skills in these three areas.
  • Strong skills in professional teamwork and communication, collegiality, and respect for a highly diverse range of ATI colleagues, students, and faculty clients.
  • A customer-centric approach to service delivery.
  • High level of digital fluency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, patience, and a positive attitude.


Supplemental Information

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
