The Physics Department at Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut, invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor beginning in September, 2021. We seek candidates who are enthusiastic about teaching all facets of undergraduate physics to a diverse student body and who are committed to initiating and pursuing an active on-campus research program in physics in which undergraduates can meaningfully participate. Experimental physics is preferred, but all applications will be considered. The position offers competitive salary and benefits, and funds for laboratory start-up expenses. Teaching load is four courses per year for the first two years and five courses per year thereafter, with a one-semester leave every four years. A doctorate in physics is required; some teaching experience is highly desired.

Trinity is a highly selective liberal arts college with motivated students and a strong commitment to quality instruction. Our 2,200 students come from all socio-economic, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds across the US, and 15 percent are international. We are centrally located in Hartford, Connecticut, providing convenient access to colleagues at neighboring institutions.
