Position Summary:

The researcher and lab manager is responsible for carrying out research projects in line with currently funded grants. The lab manager is the primary resource for team leaders, graduate and undergraduate students for guidance on research projects. This role ensures the continuation of progress within the lab through, but not limited to, the supervision and management of employees, maintaining equipment (computer & otherwise), grant preparation, and overall research management throughout the lab.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Masters Degree required. Degree in the area of Biomedical Engineering or related field preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Required Experience:
3+ years of academic research
2+ years of grant-writing experience
2+ years of managing/supervising employees
Experience with LabVIEW programming

Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with computer maintenance & repair
Experience with MATLAB or other text-based programming languages

Additional Information:

Candidates that can demonstrate through example of strong communication and organizational skills are highly desired.
