POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The Department of Mathematics at Auburn University at Montgomery ( AUM ) invites applications for a non-tenure track full-time lecturer position starting January 2021 or August 2021. This is a one-year (nine-month), renewable appointment. Your responsibilities will include teaching courses appropriate to the needs of the department and maintaining office hours. In addition, you may have other duties as designated by the department chair. The teaching load is 8 courses (24 hrs) per year (Fall and Spring). Summer teaching is possible. Responsibility includes day, evening and/or off campus teaching.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

About the University/College

Founded in 1967, AUM is the metropolitan campus of Auburn University and serves a diverse student body of around 5,000 students. The Department of Mathematics offers a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. Students wishing to major in mathematics may choose one of two tracks the mathematics major (MH) and the mathematics education option ( MHSE ). In addition, the department coordinates a two-year pre-engineering program that prepares students to transfer to an engineering school (usually the main campus of Auburn University).
