Assistant/Associate Professor, Occupational Therapy Doctorate
Program (Ruskin, FL) Gannon University's Morosky College of Health
Professions and Sciences invites applications for a new faculty
member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the
entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program. The appointment
for this twelve-month, tenure track position begins January 2021.
Experience in physical disabilities, neurology/neuro-rehabilitative
techniques, research, and supervising doctoral student activities,
including the doctoral experiential component and capstone projects
is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to work
collaboratively with colleagues, support an interprofessional
learning environment, advise students, and participate in service
activities to support the University, community, and profession.
Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly
activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is
appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion
at Gannon. Qualified candidates are required to have an earned
doctoral degree (e.g. Ph.D., Ed.D., D.H.S., D.Sc., O.T.D.) granted
by an institution accredited by a US Department of
Education-recognized regional accrediting body and five-to-seven
(5-7) years of clinical experience. Licensure or eligibility for
licensure in Florida as an Occupational Therapist is required;
NBCOT certification or eligibility for certification is required.
Candidates who are able to provide evidence of effective teaching
(two years or more) and scholarship in higher education are
preferred. Ideally, candidates will have experience using course
management systems for purposes of instruction and advising.
