Assistant Professor (WOT), Medicine - Hematology
The University of Washington Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology is recruiting a full-time faculty member for appointment at the Assistant Professor rank (without tenure due to funding), on the clinician/scholar pathway, with an annual service period of 12 months (July 1-June 30). The selected candidate would see patients, teach, and build a related research program in bleeding disorders and autoimmune hematologic diseases at the University of Washington and Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders (WACBD). University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Position will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date is February 2021.
The selected candidate must have:
- MD (or foreign equivalent), In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Board certification in Hematology (or foreign equivalent) would also be required.
- Completion of subspecialty fellowship in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology
