Assistant Professor of Economics (September 2020)
The Washington and Lee University Economics Department invites applications for up to two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. We welcome applications from all subfields. Applications from candidates willing to teach courses in applied macroeconomics, industrial organization, or labor economics will receive particular attention. The appointment begins July 1, 2021. The Economics department offers opportunities to develop courses in candidates’ field of specialization, including opportunities to collaborate with campus interdisciplinary programs. In addition, the department features an active research seminar, and strong research support.

Washington and Lee is a highly selective, co-educational, liberal arts college of approximately 1850 undergraduate and 400 law students located in the Great Valley of Virginia, approximately 3 hours south west of D.C. A Ph.D. in Economics or related field is expected by the time of appointment; teaching experience is highly desirable.
