About the Opportunity:
The College of Engineering is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to support the Graduate School of Engineering.

The Admissions Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting the Graduate School of Engineering's Admissions and Recruitment functions. The Admissions Coordinator manages admissions operations by using the electronic graduate application system to update records, assigns faculty reviewers, and look for and corrects discrepancies. The Admissions Coordinator interfaces with faculty, designs and manages communication to applicants, and manages the processing of data within and outside the electronic application system. The Admissions Coordinator will proactively analyze admissions operations procedures for optimization. The Admissions Coordinator will respond to prospect, applicant, and admitted student inquiries using the centralized support system and will coordinate improvements to system communications. The Admissions Coordinator will analyze admissions data and will coordinate regular reports on number of admits, confirms, I-20s, RSVPs for estimating enrollment.

Bachelor's degree required, MS or MBA preferred such as a graduate degree in higher education administration. At least two years' experience with preference given to candidates who have experience in graduate admissions and recruiting. Candidates must demonstrate a professional presence and maturity in dealing with a variety of audiences, external and internal to the university. Excellent interpersonal, oral presentation, and written communication skills are critical for success. Expertise in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and database management. Strong project management/organizational skills with attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to balance multiple demands from demanding constituencies. Additional requirements include creativity, positive can-do attitude, flexibility, initiative, ability to function effectively as member of a team in a dynamic and fun work environment, reflective, and high integrity. Responsive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement. Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends, as required.
