The Department of Community Dentistry and Behavioral Science is seeking applications for a full-time Non-Tenure-Track Faculty position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor with an interest in clinical research related to chronic pain, including clinical trials for chronic pain. This position is supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health. Responsibilities will include assisting with protocol development and implementation, supervising research staff, assisting with regulatory compliance, and demonstrating scholarly productivity.

Minimum requirements include a Ph.D.; preference will be given to candidates with postdoctoral research training and a history of published neuroimaging research in peer-reviewed journals. Applicants must have a strong interest in developing a highly productive research career at a research-intensive institution. Candidate must have demonstrated excellence in neuroimaging research including MRI and EEG. The incumbent will work closely with faculty in the Pain Research and Intervention Center of Excellence (PRICE) to implement new and ongoing clinical research neuroimaging projects examining chronic pain in older adults. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, proven ability for self-motivation, and the capacity to work in a team are assumed. Evidence of excellent organizational skills is preferred, as well as an ability to interpret and present scientific and clinical data.
