About the Opportunity:
The Center for Cognitive Brain Health (CBH) and the NU Biomedical Imaging Core (NUBIC) at Northeastern University is seeking an individual to fulfill the role of Assistant Director for Grant & Fiscal Operations. This individual must have a strong interest in the sciences and research. The Assistant Director will be responsible for overseeing all CBH/NUBIC operational activities, including fiscal and logistical tasks related to grant submissions; fiscal, personnel and IRB application tasks related to post-award grant and contract management, billing and financial management/reconciliation for the NUBIC Core, specifically, management of the MRI scanner; coordination of NUBIC Core communications within and outside NU. The Assistant Director manages all budgets including federal, state, foundation, and internal funds for both CBH and NUBIC. In addition, the Assistant Director will assist in the preparation of all state, federal and industrial grant applications, including budget development for submission through the College of Science Dean's Office. This role serves as the liaison with the Psychology Department and the College of Science Dean's Office.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in business, finance or related field preferred. Candidate should possess five to seven progressive years of grant or financial management experience. This position requires a high-level of proficiency with grants management, finance, and advanced knowledge of NIH and NSF grant submission. The successful candidate must have expertise in Microsoft Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point); knowledge of or capacity to learn COEUS, ePAWS, myMarketplace, Banner, Concur, or other software programs. Must be highly organized and detail oriented with excellent communication skills.
