JOB SUMMARY:
Serve as the primary recruiter of prospective first-year, transfer, graduate and international students to Adelphi University.

REPORTS TO: Director of Graduate Admissions

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
1. Recruit first-year, transfer, graduate and international students to Adelphi University.
2. Interview prospective students and meet with their families.
3. Evaluate completed freshman and transfer applications for decision and corresponding credit evaluations.
4. Cultivate prospects via tele-counseling, social media and email.
5. Represent Adelphi at high school and community college visits, and college fairs in assigned territories.
6. Act as liaison with various campus partners and departments of assigned special programs.
7. Build relationships with school counselors, administrators and other university partners.
8. Become an active member of relevant professional organizations.
9. Delivery of information sessions and workshops to various audiences in person and virtually.
10. Assist with various admissions tasks as directed by the Office of University Admissions.
11. Collaborate with the Office of Student Financial Services to provide one-stop-shop service to prospective and incoming students throughout the enrollment process.
12. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)
1. Excellent interpersonal skills.
2. Must have a valid driver's license.
3. Ability to be organized and pay attention to detail.
4. Ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.
5. Ability to work long hours and weekends.
6. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
7. Strong critical thinking and data analysis skills.
8. Strong public speaking abilities.
9. Ability to work remotely and utilize digital tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to drive or travel to locations in recruiting area(s).
2. Ability to work long hours and weekends.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor's degree required.
2. One to two years job-related experience preferred.
