The Department of Music at North Carolina State University invites outstanding applicants for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track faculty position in Musicology/Ethnomusicology. The successful candidate will be able to teach a wide range of undergraduate course offerings supporting a music minor, the general student population, and the development of a new undergraduate curriculum in music technology in collaboration with the university’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Additionally, the department seeks a colleague that will join current faculty in imagining and implementing new approaches to the discipline and emerging fields of study. Candidates who demonstrate an ability to design and implement coursework around the intersections of music and technology from an historical and contemporary perspective are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to effective teaching and mentoring of students. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. Anticipated application closing date is 11/15/2020. Expected start date is Fall 2021.
