Merrimack College is a selective, private college in a beautiful, residential setting — just minutes from Boston, Massachusetts.

Position Overview: The Department of Accounting and Finance of the Girard School of Business seeks a full-time Assistant Professor of Practice (NTT-Open Ended) beginning in January 2021 (Spring 2021). The teaching load is normally four courses per semester which will include a combination of undergraduate- and graduate-level courses with both in-person and online modalities. The candidate may also assist with academic advising and select service to the department, school, and college.

Specific courses will depend on the candidate’s previous experience, expertise, and the school’s needs. Based on our current requirements, the ideal candidate would have experience in teaching one or more of the following:

Undergraduate courses: Advanced Accounting, Taxes, and Auditing.

Graduate courses: Financial and Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Accounting Information Systems, & Assurance Services.

Interested applicants should have relevant teaching and work experience, and either hold a Ph.D. in Accounting or a relevant Master’s degree with substantive professional/industry experience. A CPA is preferred. Applicants must submit a current resume or CV and letter of interest. Review of applications will begin immediately, and will continue until the position is filled.
