Responsibilities:
The Academic Assistant will provide support to the front-line customer service staff, for the Office of the Registrar. Academic Assistant is responsible the electronic transcript process in its entirety through eScrip software. Prepare reports, labels and attachments for student employees to mail out official transcripts. Running the job of hold for grades/degree to clean up and assure all requests are released and processed. Prepare express mail request creating FEDEX labels and emailing requestor tracking number. Responsible to reply to transcript and verification email inquiries, contacting students regarding various issues.

Knowledge of FERPA and Ellucian Banner preferred. This position requires a high level of data accuracy, familiarity with student information software and systems; Banner, (AUI) Administrative User Interface, National Clearing House Degree Verify, Argos report system, Five 9 phone system. Good communication skills, and proficiency utilizing different computer programs (including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, etc.) and the ability to be flexible and multi-task during peak processing times.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required and one to three years experience in a high volume, customer service department, preferably in the Registrar's or college advising office. A successful candidate will have excellent data entry and analytical skills, the ability to learn and apply established policies and practices, strong organization abilities, and demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication. Knowledge of FERPA and Ellucian Banner preferred. Familiarity with student information systems, proficiency utilizing different computer programs (including ACD Five 9 Telephone System, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) Must be able to work independently and meet established deadlines while handling the day to day work.
