Responsibilities
Reporting to the ED of Wellness/Director of Counseling and Psychological Services, this position provides psychological services (assessment, crisis intervention, individual and group counseling) students. While this position will support all Saint Mary's students, the focus of this position is to provide services to students black students.

1. CLINICAL SERVICES: Provides direct counseling services to full time undergraduate and graduate students including individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, intake evaluation, urgent care evaluation and crisis intervention. Specifically this position will conduct needs assessments and implement specific programming to enhance access to and the provision of culturally affirming services for Black students on campus. Duties also include providing individual therapy for Black Students and facilitating community healing spaces such as the Black Healing Circle.

2. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Attend staff meetings, various professional development training, and weekly supervision. Complete administrative paperwork (e.g., timesheets, performance evaluations.

Experience and Qualifications
Education: REQUIRED: Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D. in counseling psychology or related field. PREFERRED: Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D.

Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in College Mental Health setting.

Skills/Abilities: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Excellent communication, interpersonal, verbal and written. Ability to initiate new programming with multiple departments. Experience working with Black students, and who is knowledgeable and sensitive to the impact of white supremacy, systemic anti-Black racism, oppression and violence" on black students.Thoroughly understands and practices within CA state laws governing the practice of professional psychology.

Licenses & Certifications: REQUIRED: Licensed for license eligible by the California Board of Psychology

Other Requirements: Shares responsibilities for after hours on-call, some evening and week-end activities
