The Evaluation Center at Western Michigan University (https://wmich.edu/evaluation) invites applications for a Senior Research Associate to join the staff of EvaluATE, the evaluation hub for the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Advanced Technological Education (ATE) program (https://www.evalu-ate.org/). The main roles of the Senior Research Associate will be to

  1. Design, conduct, and coordinate EvaluATE’s research on evaluation and capacity building and further develop a strategic research agenda. Some studies are underway, while others will be designed and directed by the Senior Research Associate.
  2. Oversee administration of EvaluATE’s survey of ATE program grantees, conducted annually since 2000. Survey findings provide NSF and ATE stakeholders with essential information about program achievements.
  3. Coordinate ongoing internal evaluation of EvaluATE activities and products and plan/lead new efforts.

The position is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation through 2023, with the possibility of renewal and transition to other projects at The Evaluation Center.

Established in 2008, EvaluATE focuses on developing evaluation capacity within NSF’s ATE program, with broad reach to other sectors and regions around the world.
