The Wall College of Business at Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the following position: Wall Center Student Employment Specialist (Student Services Program Coordinator II).

This is a full- time position that assists students in the Wall College with skills that help them in starting their career after graduation. This position is responsible for ensuring students in the Wall College complete the required Professional Development Activities (PDA) necessary for graduation, and works with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance employment opportunities for business students. Duties will include, but are not limited to: managing the scheduling, processing, implementation and assessment of the professional development activities (PDA); facilitating student engagement to build career readiness skills; coordinating career-related programing, events, networking and job/internship recruitment opportunities; implementing best practices related to student recruitment and job placement; developing relationships with potential employers and working closely with alumni engagement; and teaching business and/or PDA courses and workshops as needed for the college.  

 

Requirements: An MBA from an AACSB accredited institution or Master’s Degree in related field and related experience are required. Two years of related experience in recruiting, marketing, human resources, client relationship management, project management, career services/higher education or similar is preferred.

 

Knowledge of the basic principles and theories of student development and educational administration; the policies and procedures affecting the assigned program areas; the techniques of individual or group counseling; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff and the general public; the ability to identify, develop and implement programs and activities that will benefit the campus community; and the ability to provide supportive counseling for a wide range of student problems are preferred.
