St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.

SCC invites qualified candidates to apply for our part-time faculty position to teach Graphic Design courses this upcoming spring 2021 semester. Part-time appointments made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis.

Our part-time faculty may participate in benefits such as a 50% SCC tuition waiver for themselves and their families, professional development, fitness center and child care and bookstore discount.

Skills currently needed:

Areas of emphasis: Page Layout, Digital Imaging & Illustration, Typography, Package Design, Web & Interactive Design, Animation & Motion Graphics, Video Production, Portfolio Design & Professional Practices, etc. Platform proficiencies required: Apple OS and iOS Software proficiencies required: Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Wordpress, Flash, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Maya, Mudbox, Axure, Balsamique, etc.

Qualifications: MFA or BFA commensurate design practitioner/field experience required. Specialized areas of emphasis will be considered on a course-by-course basis according to course offerings.
